The sun is finally here, summer is in full swing... We clearly want to enjoy life! But when the heatwave and the extreme heat rear their ugly heads, everything becomes more painful and difficult to bear (even our favorite clothes!).
Unfortunately for some of us, we obviously don't all have the chance to spend our summer by the pool or at the beach, in a swimsuit!
Certain materials, colors or cuts are preferred as soon as temperatures rise! You don't know which ones ? jaiio shares with you all his tips for being comfortable while being stylish when it's very hot!
NATURAL AND LIGHT MATERIALS
Natural and lightweight materials such as cotton, linen, bamboo or silk are known to be much more comfortable in very hot weather. They let the skin breathe and absorb moisture unlike synthetic fabrics which should be banned from our summer wardrobe.
Plus, it’s right on trend!
2 essentials for our summer wardrobe ? The white cotton t-shirt and the linen shirt! Timeless and basic, they combine very easily and can be worn for all occasions.
LIGHT COLORS AND PASTEL
In addition to making us smile and look good, light shades reflect the sun and therefore heat, unlike black and dark colors which absorb (black absorbs up to 90% of the energy it receives, and yes that's a lot!).
We therefore favor light, pastel and colorful tones and we reserve black for the evenings - when it is cooler.
OVERSIZED AND FLUID CUTS
The loose, flowing cuts are trendy and don't stick to the skin! They flatter all silhouettes and give us an airy and light look as chic as it is relaxed... Everything we love (especially when it's hot...)!
Dresses, palazzo pants, blouses and shirts... We are spoiled for choice!
OPEN SHOES…
Friction, blisters, perspiration, smell... Closed shoes should be avoided as soon as the mercury rises!
It's better to go for pretty flat sandals! At jaiio, we love them... At work, at the beach, in the evening, on the terrace, any opportunity is good to free our tootsies.
And since we're going to show off our feet, we highlight them with nail polish! It will bring a touch of pep and fun to all our looks.
